(VOVWORLD) - To preserve and promote their culture, artisans, village chiefs, and other interested people in Lai Chau province have organized classes to teach the language of their ethnic group. The village chiefs have also documented folk songs, folk dances, and customs in order to introduce them to a wider community.

Performing art clubs and a young generation that can sing Ca Tru (ceremonial songs) and Xam (blind buskers’ songs) is evidence of the city’s efforts to preserve and promote its culture.

(VOVWORLD) - 2000-year-old Chem Temple in Hanoi is Vietnam’s oldest temple. The temple on the bank of the Red River is not only of great historical, cultural, and spiritual importance but also has a unique architecture. An art performance called “The quintessence of solemn Chem Temple”, as part of the Hanoi Creative Design Festival 2023, awakens the cultural heritage of the Red River delta.

(VOVWORLD) - A night tour of Van Mieu-Quoc Tu Giam (the Temple of Literature) in the heart of Hanoi was launched in late October. The special relic site, the first university in Vietnam, is an ancient symbol of the country’s education.

(VOVWORLD) - 20 ethnic minority groups live in Lai Chau province. In the 3 years since the province passed a resolution to preserve and promote the traditional culture of ethnic groups to boost tourism from 2021-2025, with a vision to 2030, local villages have restored many traditional costumes and festivals, which have popularized Lai Chau province as a tourist attraction.

(VOVWORLD) - Vietnamese authorities have always paid special attention to teaching and learning Vietnamese among overseas Vietnamese as a way to preserve and promote Vietnamese cultural identity. The project “Honoring the Vietnamese Language in the Overseas Vietnamese Community” is an example.

(VOVWORLD) - Renewing traditional music has become a trend. Many artists have added modern elements to folk music to make it more relatable to young audiences.

(VOVWORLD) - The northern mountainous province of Son La is home to 12 ethnic minorities each with its own diverse culture and customs. The provincial authorities have paid much attention to preserving and promoting the cultural values of these ethnic groups.
