Vietnamese Ambassador Trinh Duc Hai, who is Deputy Chairman of the National Border Committee, and First Assistant Minister of the Australian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade Gerald Thomson discussed sustainable development of the marine economy, marine environmental protection, and scientific research in compliance with international law, especially the 1982 United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS).
