At the program, Lieutenant General Bui Quoc Oai, Political Commissar of the Vietnam Coast Guard, said that this is the second year the Coast Guard High Command present awards to outstanding individuals.

The honorees have excelled with their courage in combat, readiness to fight, suppressing crime, protecting law enforcement at sea; passion about scientific research; responsibility and enthusiasm in helping fishermen; dedication in disseminating knowledge.
