The goal by 2030 is to build and develop Hai Phong to become a major seaport city, a modern, international, leading marine economic hub in Southeast Asia.

Hai Phong’s development will focus on seaport services, logistics and marine tourism; international center for education, training, research, application and development of science and technology.

By 2050, Hai Phong will be a major seaport city in the region and the world with three pillars of development: seaport services-logistics; green, smart, modern industry; and international marine tourism center.
