(VOV/VOVworld) - Thanks to its bio-diversity and environmental value – the Can Gio Mangrove Forest – was recognised by UNESCO as a World Biosphere Reserve in Vietnam in 2000.
Lying just a little more than 50km from the centre of Ho Chi Minh City, Can Gio district with its mountains, hills, beaches, and sand dunes stretching along 100 km of coastline is an ideal tourist destination.
Visitors have a great chance to enjoy fresh air and primeval beauty of nature and especially play with naughty monkeys at Lam Vien tourism site named “Monkey Island”.
Monkey Island receives around 400-500 visitors daily and from 1,000-1,500 at the weekend.
