The performance by the Vietnam Cultural Center blended traditional music with a contemporary feel. Opening with “The homeland lullaby”, the artists created an atmosphere of love for the homeland through folk lullabies accompanied by the moving resonance of the dan bau, a monochord instrument of refined beauty.
“Onara”, a famous Korean song, was performed in a Vietnamese Korean fusion style that demonstrated the cultural versatility of music, the universal language. “Spring melody”, a lively, joyful Vietnamese tune evoked the uplifting spirit of Tet, Vietnam’s traditional New Year festival.
