Flower villages busy for Tet

(VOVWORLD) - Flowers are indispensable for a Vietnamese family when Tet, Vietnam’s traditional Lunar New Year, arrives. From north to south, there are many villages growing flowers and many flower markets selling them. Though people in different regions prefer different flowers, the most popular and beloved Tet flowers are peach blossoms, apricot blossoms, orchids, roses, kumquat trees, and ornamental trees.

(VOVWORLD) - The "One Commune One Product" program originated from Japan’s Oita village more than 30 years ago. This movement has achieved great success and has spread to many other countries. In May this year, Vietnam’s Prime Minister approved nationwide implementation of the very similar “One Commune, One Product” (OCOP) program. Vietnamese craft villages are now developing their principal product in line with the OCOP program.
