(VOVWORLD) - Low-yield corn and cassava fields in the northern mountainous province of Son La have been converted to lush green fields of coffee. Thanks to suitable climate and soil, coffee has become a profitable crop for Son La farmers, many of whom have become quite prosperous.

(VOVWORLD) - Last month, Tan Hoa village in Quang Binh province was named Best Tourism Village 2023 by the UN World Tourism Organisation (UNWTO). The award is attributable to a joint effort by local people and authorities and travel agents to turn Tan Hoa, a seasonal flood zone, into a bright spot of Vietnamese tourism.

(VOVWORLD) - Quang Nam is one of two provinces growing Ngoc Linh ginseng in Vietnam. Ngoc Linh ginseng is a particularly rare medicinal species and only grows in the Ngoc Linh mountains, the area between Quang Nam and Kon Tum province. To protect and introduce the Ngoc Linh ginseng brand more widely, in August 2016 the National Office of Intellectual Property granted a certificate of geographical indication for Ngoc Linh ginseng to Quang Nam and Kon Tum.

In recent years, thanks to the State and Son La province, the lives of the locals have remarkably improved. Muong Lum is becoming more prosperous.

(VOVWORLD) - With more than 13,000 people, Tam Quang is the most populous commune in Nui Thanh district, Quang Nam province. This commune, where most people fish for a living, has 340 boats and more than 200 of them are used for offshore fishing.

(VOVWORLD) - Thanh Ha, a 500-year-old traditional pottery craft village in Hoi An city, Quang Nam province in central Vietnam, was named a national treasure by the Geographical and Historical Record of Great Viet compiled in the 19th century under the Nguyen dynasty. Today the village continues to preserve and promote the craft and is a favorite destination of tourists who visit the UNESCO-recognized ancient city of Hoi An.

(VOVWORLD) - People in landslide-hit Tra Leng commune in Quang Nam province have moved to the Bang La resettlement area, about 3 km from their old village after 2 disastrous landslides 3 years ago which have caused heavy losses of lives and property. Thanks to support from the local government and private donors, the lives of Tra Leng villagers have improved.

(VOVWORLD) - No one knows when Tam Thanh villagers in Quang Nam province began making fish sauce, but this local product has become a famous specialty in the region.

(VOVWORLD) - Tan Tai Loc dairy farm in Dai Tam commune, My Xuyen district, Soc Trang province, meets international standards, thanks to applying modern technology in raising dairy cows. It is a role model in rural economic development in Soc Trang.

These localities have also promoted links to bring local OCOP products to consumers through supermarkets, convenience stores and trade centers.
