(VOVworld) – Many Vietnamese who live and work in the Czech Republic perform traditional Vietnamese arts as a way to express the love they feel for their homeland and its traditional culture. Through this activity, they hope to teach the Vietnamese language, customs, and culture to second- and third-generation overseas Vietnamese. We want to share with you the story of several Vietnamese who have been in the Czech Republic for 20 years but have never forgotten the traditional music of Vietnam.

(VOVworld) – Panpipes are an integral part of the spiritual life of the red Dao ethnic minority in Vietnam. The red Dao only play the panpipes at weddings and maturity rituals, not at festivals or funerals as other ethnic minorities do. They say the sound of panpipes brings joy and happiness.

(VOVworld) – The Kovalevskaia Science Award 2014 was granted to an individual and a group of 16 female scientists led by Associate Professor Nguyen Thi Binh for their excellent achievements in applied science. The group, from the Hanoi Medical University and the Central Eye Hospital, was honored for their research into a new treatment method that uses stem cell technology to cure ocular surface damage.
