In a televised speech on the conflict, he stressed that the US is close to accomplishing its core strategic objectives, including destroying “their air force and their ability to launch missiles and drones” and neutralizing pro-Iranian forces.

Trump said the US would intensify airstrikes on Iran over the next “two to three weeks”, but noted that discussions are still ongoing. He warned that if no agreement is reached, the US would target “all of Iran’s power plants”.
