Vietnam's Human Development Index has steadily improved over the past 30 years, a concrete proof of the effectiveness of the Vietnamese Party and State’s policies.

(VOVWORLD) - As Vietnam aims to become a high-income country, its National Assembly has adopted major policies since the beginning of this year. The government has accelerated the concretization of these policies to unlock resources for national development.

In Vietnam, ethnic groups, regardless of whether majority or minority, or high or low level of development, have equal rights in all fields which are protected by the Constitution and by law. Ensuring equal rights among ethnic groups is one of Vietnam's core development goals.

(VOVWORLD) - March 8 is International Women's Day or United Nations Day for Women's Rights and International Peace. This is an occasion for Vietnam to review its commitments on empowering women and girls. Ensuring gender equality is one of Vietnam's primary tasks.

(VOVWORLD) - Promoting gender equality, particularly in ethnic minority mountain regions, is one of the key tasks to ensure sustainable national development. The Vietnamese Party and State have implemented guidelines, policies, and programs on gender equality, including the ‘Project on ensuring gender equality and addressing urgent problems for women and children’, known as Project 8.

Preserving and promoting traditional cultural values through festivals is of great importance to consolidate national cultural sovereignty, creating confidence and resources for national development and international integration.

(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam prioritizes building a comprehensive, equitable, resilient society, with no one left behind, said a Vietnamese representative at the 62nd session of the UN Commission for Social Development (CSocD) in New York on Wednesday. Deputy Permanent Representative of Vietnam to the UN, Minister Counsellor Le Thi Minh Thoa said the Communist Party of Vietnam wants to ensure that all members of society have equal access to development opportunities and resources.
