(VOVWORLD) - Every Wednesday and Friday afternoon, members of the “Instant Noodle Packaging for Recycling” Club gather to make products from instant noodle packages. For nearly four years this club, established to protect the environment, has been attracting volunteers and collaborators across Vietnam.

(VOVWORLD) - There is a special barber shop in the middle of Ha Long city in Quang Ninh province where the owner and employees are deaf mutes from birth. The young shop owner Van Khac Huan has pursued his passion by becoming a hair stylist and teaching the profession to other people in a similar situation.

(VOVWORLD) - As Lunar New Year 2024 is drawing near, businesses in Ho Chi Minh City have high demand for part-time and seasonal workers. This is an opportunity for seasonal workers to earn additional income.

(VOVWORLD) - As Tet, the Lunar New Year, approaches, Binh Khe commune in Dong Trieu town, a major flower growing area of Quang Ninh province, becomes busier. Local farmers put all their effort into tending their flowers and ornamental plants to get them to bloom in time for Tet.

(VOVWORLD) - These days, many families in the border areas of the Mekong Delta province of Long An are joyful because they’ve received new houses just ahead of the approaching Lunar New Year 2024. Their spacious, solid houses also have electricity and clean water.

(VOVWORLD) - The Dang Thuy Tram Bookcase, the 7th instance of the model nationwide and the first in Hanoi, officially opened at the end of last year in Me Linh district. The bookcase was named after military doctor Dang Thuy Tram who died during the most violent phase of the anti-US war.

(VOVWORLD) - Hanoi Police Detention Center No.1 in Xuan Phuong ward, Nam Tu Liem district, is educating 3,600 convicts. The center is currently organizing a class in electrical repair for convicts.

(VOVWORLD) - 3 or 4 times a week, a group of young volunteers get together to clean up the debris in Hanoi’s rivers. They are members of a group called Green Hanoi, that wants to make the capital city greener, cleaner, and more beautiful. For their efforts, Green Hanoi was one of 10 groups who received the 2023 National Volunteer Award early this month.
