(VOVWORLD) - First up, we warmly welcome two new listeners who wrote to us this week – Samarendra Biswas and Sukanta Kumar Mohanty of India.

(VOVWORLD) - We’d like to welcome Bruce Lee of Australia to VOV. In his first correspondence to VOV, he wrote: “I’m a radio enthusiast and live in Australia. When I listen to the Voice of Vietnam, I feel I’m close to Vietnam. I wish to report the reception of your broadcasting recently.”

(VOVWORLD) - We continue to receive a substantial number of letters, emails, and phone calls from listeners around the world. Besides reception reports on the programs they listened to, they expressed their interested in various issues in Vietnam, such as Vietnam’s public transportation, metro system, external relations, and export of staple products.

(VOVWORLD) - We’d like to welcome to VOV, Michele Gasparri of Italy, who reported listening to VOV on July 11 on the frequency of 9730 kHz. Mr. Gasparri sent us feedback on our program in both Italian and English.

(VOVWORLD) - Last week VOV World Service received a multitude of letters, emails, and phone calls from listeners around the world. Besides comments on the programs, they shared about their lives and events in their home countries with us.

(VOVWORLD) - This week, we received several letters from Asik Eqbal Tokon of Bangladesh. Listening to our Sunday Show last week about "Happy Homes for Stray Abandoned Animals in Hanoi", Mr. Asik wrote: “VOV English sheds light on a heartwarming initiative addressing stray animals in Hanoi, Vietnam. It highlights the efforts made by dedicated individuals and organizations to provide these animals with safe and loving homes.”

(VOVWORLD) - Last week the 13 language sections of VOV World received over 360 letters, emails, and phone calls from listeners in 36 countries. In addition to technical feedback on the transmission, they expressed their appreciation for VOV’s shortwave broadcasts covering political, social, and economic developments in Vietnam that they can’t hear about on local media.

(VOVWORLD) - We’d like to thank our dear listeners around the world for sending us greetings on Vietnamese Revolutionary Press Day, June 21.

(VOVWORLD) - Matt Francis, a regular listener to VOV’s English programs told us: “The Voice of Vietnam is regularly and reliably heard in our evenings. My listening location is a residential neighborhood, about 40 km north of the centre of Sydney, in an area known as the 'northern beaches'. My receiver is a Tecsun PL880 portable radio with a short external wire antenna.”

(VOVWORLD) - We’d like to welcome to VOV Mr. Alvarez Thomas of Argentina who reported listening to our program from 11:30 to 12:00 UTC on May 31 on the frequency of 12020 khz. He wrote: “I’m pleased to inform you that I have had the opportunity to listen to your radio station on shortwave with SINPO of 45544.”
