(VOVWORLD) - Since early June this year, the RB Club for blind and visually impaired children in Hanoi has been holding morning classes to teach the kids Braille, maths, navigation and mobility techniques, computer skills, singing, dancing, and making pictures using colored buttons.

(VOVWORLD) -Vietnam has submitted a dossier to seek UNESCO recognition for Cheo, Vietnamese traditional opera, as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. This is a good opportunity to promote Vietnamese folk art to the world and make the community aware of the need to preserve Cheo. To that end, Vietnam is diversifying performances of contemporary Cheo and inspiring young people to get involved in this art form.

(VOVWORLD) -Artist Tuyet Tuyet has gotten millions of views on YouTube, TikTok, and Facebook for videos in which she sings Chau Van (Vietnamese ritual singing), plays the dan nguyet (moon-shaped lute), and teaches students of different ages, backgrounds, and nationalities, but particularly students who are visually impaired. Tuyet Tuyet’s dedication to preserving and advancing Chau Van is unwavering.

The association between classical music and grand theaters is deeply rooted in the historical development of both art forms. Theaters such as the Vienna State Opera, La Scala in Milan, and the Royal Albert Hall in London, or the Hanoi Opera House have become iconic settings for performances of symphonies, operas, and other classical works. In Vietnam, the appreciation of classical music has taken a unique twist – far from the conventional setting, individuals indulge in the timeless melodies while leisurely sipping a cup of tea. This experience artfully unfolds within a special project called “Schubert in a Mug” which began three years ago.

(VOVWORLD) - Founded in 2014 the Cheo 48H Club has been a regular venue for young people to meet and share their passion for folk music and art. The Club has organized training classes on traditional theatrical arts and spread the love for folk art among young people and to the wider public.
