In the 14 years he has held this position Hien has helped many locals boost their production, escape poverty and improve their standard of living.

(VOVWORLD) - 39-year-old Siu Pop of the Jrai ethnic group in the Central Highlands province of Gia Lai, is a shining example of effective rural economic development. In recent years, Siu Pop’s family has earned 40,000 USD annually growing coffee and selling fertilizer and livestock feed.

(VOVWORLD) - 47-year-old Bo Bo Kha of the Raglai ethnic group has been a pioneer in applying advanced technology to production in the mountainous area of Khanh Son in Khanh Hoa province. Kha has become well-off and has helped many others escape poverty.

(VOVWORLD) - Pomelos from Tan My village, Binh Duong province, have gained growing recognition in recent years. This success has been largely due to 43-year-old Le Minh Sang, Director of the Tan My Fruit Tree Cooperative. Sang has promoted the reputation of Tan My pomelos and helped local farmers prosper growing apples on the arid, sun-drenched land.
