(VOVWORLD) - In November alone, Da Lat resort city in the Central Highlands province of Lam Dong, welcomed half a million tourists, raising total tourist arrivals for the year to 6.2 million. Agro-tourism, which involves any agriculture-based operation or activity that attracts visitors, is a new product that has emerged to boost local tourism growth. Da Lat’s municipal leaders have encouraged farmers and businesses to invest in agro-tourism.

(VOVWORLD) - Ba Be Lake, Bac Kan province, 230 kilometers north of Hanoi, was formed 200 million years ago. Now part of Ba Be National Park, the Lake has become a popular tourist attraction.

(VOVWORLD) - Bat Trang commune, Gia Lam district, on the outskirts of Hanoi was recently recognized officially as a key tourist destination. The commune is known for its centuries-old pottery craft and rich history, favorable for developing traditional handicraft village tourism.

(VOVWORLD) - In October, UNESCO designated 66 cities around the world in its Creative Cities Network. The Network covers seven creative fields: Crafts and Folk Arts, Media Arts, Film, Design, Gastronomy, Literature, and Music. Hanoi got the UNESCO honour in the ‘Design’ category, an opportunity for Hanoi to create its trademark and promote its cultural creativity to the world.

(VOVWORLD) - The Krong No volcanic cave system, in the Central Highland province of Dak Nong, has been nominated by the Global Geoparks Network for UNESCO recognition as a global geological park. The decision will be announced in April, 2020.
