(VOVworld)- Hue singing has been recognized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism as a national intangible cultural heritage. Many efforts have been made to preserve and promote this unique art form.

(VOVworld)- The puppet play “Dances of the Night Queen” by the Vietnam Puppetry Theatre won the Gold Medal at the 4th International Puppetry Festival held in Hanoi last week. At the festival, Vietnamese artists also showed off their creativity through a variety of puppet performances which were highly acclaimed by the jury board.

VOVworld)- Kinh Thien Palace is the most important building in the Thang Long Royal citadel, which was recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site in 2000. It is at the center of the complex with the Doan Mon and the Flag Tower in front, the North Gate and the Hau Lau at its back and walls to the east and the west. The restoration of the palace is now underway.

Published by the Labor Publishing House, the 129-page photo-book tells a story about the life of General Vo Nguyen Giap through emotional and true to life photos.

(VOVworld)- “Cua dinh” folk singing also called “nha to” folk singing in Quang Ninh province has been recognized as a national intangible cultural heritage by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. The genre is one aspect of the Vietnamese people’s unique culture.

(VOVworld)- The 5th Vietnam International Book Fair in Hanoi attracted a large number of Vietnamese and foreign readers. The event created an opportunity to increase cooperation between Vietnamese and foreign publishers and bring Vietnamese publications closer to foreign readers.

(VOVworld) - The “Then” singing of Vietnam’s Tay and Nung ethnic minority groups is of particular importance to people in the northeast region. Bac Kan, one of Vietnam’s cradles of “Then” singing, leads the effort to preserve the art form by teaming veteran artists with young artists who want to make Then music more relevant to modern society.

(VOVworld) – The Vietnam Union Literature and Arts Associations presented awards to winning works of a contest on the revolutionary and resistance wars from 1930 to 1975. 80 prize-winning works of literature, cinematography, music, theater, dance, and painting categories have reflected the topic’s inspirational value to artists. They revealed that although the wars are over, the wounds and torments have not yet healed.
