(VOVWORLD) - The mountain villages of Quang Nam province have developed several community-based tourism models that are attracting a growing number of visitors.

(VOVWORLD) - There’s a saying in Vietnam “A betel quid starts the conversation” which reflects the cultural importance of betel leaves and areca nuts in ceremonial occasions such as weddings and ancestral offerings. In Vi Thuy commune, Vi Thuy district, Hau Giang province, people have long been engaged in growing betel and are trying to turn it into the local cultural specialty.

(VOVWORLD) -Located along the Hoi An-My Son tourist route, the 100-year-old Chiem Son broom-making craft village in Quang Nam province, has preserved its charm and cultural identity.

(VOVWORLD) -Located 25 kilometers west of Hanoi, Phu Vinh craft village in Chuong My district, has engaged in bamboo and rattan weaving for 400 years. Phu Vinh has preserved that ancient craft and is still thriving. Lots of its craft products are now sold in foreign markets.

(VOVWORLD) - Located just 30 kilometers from the center of Hanoi, Tien Thinh commune in Me Linh district is home to multiple craft villages that make incense, rice noodles, peanut candy, and rice paper wrappers for spring rolls. Making rice noodle is a craft that has been passed down through generations and still provides a stable livelihood for locals.

(VOVWORLD) - Bao La bamboo and rattan weaving village in Quang Phu commune, Thua Thien Hue province, is famous domestically and internationally for its handcrafted bamboo and rattan products. Skilled artisans transform Vietnamese bamboo into practical household items and cute souvenirs.

(VOVWORLD) - Van Diem carpentry village in Hanoi’s Thuong Tin district is renowned for its exquisite wood products. The village has been recognized by the Hanoi Department of Tourism as a high-end destination.

(VOVWORLD) - Binh Duong province is home to 32 traditional craft villages, several of which have been recognized as a national intangible cultural heritage. In the face of market economy’s strong impacts, policies have been in place to preserve and develop these craft villages and support local businesses and artisans.

(VOVWORLD) - In six years since it was founded in 2019, the brocade weaving club of Kep village in Ia Mo Nong commune, Gia Lai province, has contributed significantly to the development of community tourism. By combining tourism and their craft, local Jrai ethnic women are preserving their cultural heritage while boosting the local economy.
