Participants were informed of the laws on national sea and islands, marine security and safety, and the responsibilities of individuals and organizations to fight IUU fishing and protect national sovereignty of sea and islands.

At the conference, the Vietnam Fisheries Trade Union and businesses signed cooperation agreements to create conditions for members to access products and services of businesses with preferential prices, thereby helping fishermen voyage out to sea and contribute to national defense.
