(VOVWORLD) - Ho Chi Minh City’s tourism sector has reopened after months of social distancing and travel restrictions due to the pandemic. After the success of intra-city and intra-province tours, inter-province tours are now being offered on the “bubble tourism” model and are receiving a positive response from tourists.

(VOVWORLD) - For the past 20 years, Spanish architect-turned-fashion designer Diego Del Valle Cortizas, the founder of a fashion house called Chula, has been loved by Vietnamese people for his designs imbued with Vietnamese character. He passed away recently after a stroke, which shocked and saddened his family and friends, as well as a number of Vietnamese fashionistas. To pay tribute to this great friend of the Vietnamese people, we’ll look at how this Spanish fashion designer developed a love for Vietnam and translated that love into his designs.

Teachers and pupils interact with each other on virtual classrooms. Teaching and learning methods have been adjusted for continuing education from home.

(VOVWORLD) - People who have recovered from the coronavirus in Ho Chi Minh City have registered to become volunteers. After recovering, they have antibodies against the virus and empathize with the physical and mental pain that the patients are going through. As local people, they know their places of residence like the palm of their hand. These volunteers are contributing substantially to the COVID-19 fight in Ho Chi Minh City.

(VOVWORLD) - The Hoa Mi 2 (Nightingale) Kindergarten in HCMC has been temporarily transformed into the H.O.P.E centre to take care for newborn babies whose mothers are infected with the coronavirus.

(VOVWORLD) - Over the past 20 years, Vietnam has been researching and developing vaccines against dangerous diseases and has achieved positive results. Vaccines against Diphtheria-Tetanus-Pertussis, Tuberculosis, Hepatitis B, and Japanese Encephalitis have significantly reduced the number of infections and deaths. Polio was essentially eradicated in 2002, while cholera and typhoid were also brought under control.

(VOVWORLD) - Artists in the Mekong Delta city of Can Tho have been releasing songs and artwork about COVID-19 to encourage frontline forces and people to fight the pandemic.
