She defeated opponents from the Dominican Republic and Hungary in the pre-quarterfinals.
Vietnam have so far earned five tickets to the Paris Olympics: Nguyen Thi That (bicycle), Nguyen Huy Hoang (swimming), Trinh Thu Vinh, Le Thi Mong Tuyen (shooting) and Vo Thi Kim Anh (boxing).

This is the second time in a row that Vietnam has a boxer winning the Olympics ticket after Nguyen Thi Tam and Nguyen Van Duong at the Tokyo Olympics 2020.
