According to the Customs Department, the strong growth of these exports over the past five years reflects an expansion in market scale and a significant shift in product structure.

Between 2021 and 2025, the average annual growth rate of export turnover to the EU stood at 43%. In 2025 alone, turnover surged 53% year-on-year, indicating that the EU market continues to maintain strong momentum and remains one of the fastest-growing markets for Vietnamese fruits and vegetables.

To sustain this growth, the industry is urged to continue investing in standardized raw material zones, increase the share of deep-processed products, and build strong, sustainable brands in the EU market.
