An annual kite flying festival opened in Can Tho city is running until March 16
Kites in various sizes are on sale
The festival takes place at Tay Do square on Mai Chi Tho road in Can Tho city.
Children enjoy watching kites flying high over Can Tho city and posing for nice photos.
Many prefer large-sized kites which feature lovely animals.
Each giant kite costs between 500 to 800 USD depending on the sizes.
Flying kites is a also tradition among the local people of Can Tho to pray for good luck in the new lunar year.
