Phong started painting his collection in 2017 when he visited Hanoi. The capital city had him at first sight. He fell in love with peaceful, tranquil corners of Hanoi in the early morning and at night. Here are some of his 28 photos in his Hanoi-inspired collection.

Phong is intrigued by the streets, corners, daily activities, and hospitable people of Hanoi. Hanoi, to Phong, has bold French architecture as he admires in schools, villas, museums, and state buildings.

Hanoi in early winter morning |
The painting collection embraces all the sentiments of a Southerner towards Hanoi. “The city has donned a furlough look as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. I really hope that my paintings will deliver a source of positive energy to everyone. We all are looking forward to the day that the virus goes down in history and the city is as vibrant as it used to be. Together, we will beat out COVID-19”, said Phong.
The painter plans to open an exhibition inspired by Hanoi right in Hanoi when the pandemic ends.
