Mr. Son was speaking while chairing a high-level session on sustainable fisheries management on Tuesday as part of the 3rd UN Ocean Conference in France.
The Vietnamese delegation also participated in six thematic sessions where they reiterated commitments to conserving and restoring marine ecosystems, reducing marine pollution, particularly plastic waste, advancing a sustainable ocean economy, mobilizing financing for ocean protection, and enhancing international cooperation.
Minister of Agriculture and Environment Do Duc Duy said on the sidelines of the conference: "Drawing on practical experience, Vietnam has proposed comprehensive solutions including planning, resource mobilization, infrastructure development, and sustainable farming measures. It’s also crucial to protect the living environment of residential communities, and promote international cooperation on transboundary water security issues."
