Increasing numbers of local residents are recently given their second booster dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, or their fourth inoculation in total.
The injection helps to boost people’s immunity against the various new sub-variants, including the SARS-CoV-2 Omicron sub-lineage BA.5 that has been reported in the country.
An inoculation site is set up at a healthcare station in Tay Mo ward of Nam Tu Liem district, with the area crowded from the early morning.
The majority of people receiving their second booster dose of the COVID-19 vaccine are elderly people above 50 years old.
Workers at industrial parks also join in the vaccination campaign.
