During his 9-day trip, Prime Minister Chinh engaged in 70 activities promoting bilateral and multilateral cooperation.
Voice of a developing country
At the G20 Summit, Prime Minister Chinh delivered two key note speeches addressing major concerns for the G20. He proposed measures to promote growth, emphasizing that the G20 should take the lead in building international cooperation mechanisms based on mutual respect, resolving conflicts, and creating a favorable environment for development. The Prime Minister’s presentations were well-received.
Foreign Minister Le Hoai Trung said: “Vietnam’s message is respected because of Vietnam’s recent remarkable socio-economic achievements, its comprehensive policy including sustainable development and employment as well as Vietnam’s potential in mineral and rare earth resources. Vietnam has the position, status, and solutions as proposed by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh at the G20 Summit, which are strengthening solidarity and cooperation, consolidating existing mechanisms, and implementing reforms to ensure lasting peace and development.”
The Prime Minister held meetings and exchanges with 30 leaders of countries and international organizations on the sidelines of the G20 Summit regarding Vietnam’s current development orientation and its efforts and achievements in institutional reforms. At these meetings, Vietnam underscored its readiness to participate in and contribute to global initiatives, not merely as a “beneficiary,” but willing to engage in active, equal, and mutually beneficial cooperation with all countries.

The Prime Minister and Kuwaiti leaders issued a joint statement that names energy as a strategic cooperation sector and prioritizes deeper collaboration in oil and gas exploration, petrochemicals, and renewable energy.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh’s visits to Kuwait and Algeria, his bilateral activities in South Africa, and his participation in the G20 Summit opened new opportunities to realize Vietnam’s development aspirations and attract international resources for national development in the new era.
