(VOVWORLD) - The Hai Phong Museum was the first local museum established in Vietnam. It was built in 1919 on 1 ha covered with large old trees in what is today Hai Phong City center. Set in a superb colonial mansion, the Hai Phong Museum holds a small but impressive collection of local historical artifacts which trace the heritage of the region as well as a selection of precious gems, traditional items, and old photographs.

(VOVWORLD) - Located at the estuary of Bach Dang River, just 20 km from downtown Hai Phong Bach Dang Giang relic site is the city’s largest complex of historical, cultural and spiritual monuments and a popular tourist attraction.

(VOVWORLD) - After 20 years of construction, the Hoa Binh Hydropower plant started operating in 1988, producing 80% of Vietnam’s total electricity. The plant was completed thanks to the support of 700 Soviet engineers and experts, some lost their lives in accidents at the construction site. The plant is now a symbol of the friendship between Vietnam and the Soviet Union.

(VOVWORLD) - This year, Dong Lac communal house in Hanoi’s Old Quarter has hosted several exchanges between artists and the public. The house has become a venue to explore Vietnam’s traditional culture.

(VOVWORLD) - Hung Yen province, 60 km southeast of Hanoi, embraces a rich culture and age-old history with many relics and heritages. It’s also famous for specialties - longan, lotus seeds, honey, and rice noodle. In the 16th and 17th century, the province contained was a busy port.

(VOVWORLD) - Cua Ong temple in Cam Pha city, Quang Ninh province is closely linked to the tradition and religious culture of local people. The temple festival is the biggest of its kind in Cam Pha, attracting crowds of visitors.

(VOVWORLD) - The Guol house of the Co Tu in Aroh village, Lang commune, Quang Nam province is not large but accommodates cultural activities of the community.

(VOVWORLD) - Thanh Chiêm bastion in Quang Nam province has been officially recognized as a national relic. It’s considered the second capital of Vietnam after Hue and the political, military, economic and cultural center of the south under the Nguyen dynasty. Today the building is in ruins but the authorities have decided to make Thanh Chiem a new tourist destination.

(VOVWORLD) - Tam Thanh commune in Tam Ky city, Quang Nam district boasts a rich art culture and beautiful landscapes. Vietnam’s first mural village has been formed in this commune.
