At 70 spring flower markets, Hanoi residents are buying flowers, bonsai, and ornamental trees, as well as handicraft products, products of the One Commune-One Product program, and decorative items.
Ha Dong district has opened nine spring flower markets, said Nguyen Van Khanh, Vice Chairman of Van Phuc ward’s People’s Committee. “We have established sub-committees to organize flower markets, ensure security and order, and arrange parking for the shoppers.”

"Besides peach flower branches and kumquat trees, I always arrange a pot of peonies, dahlias, and violets. Seeing these flowers is seeing Tet.”
“There are many types of flowers and ornamental plants for Tet. I’m overwhelmed by their colors and beauty. I go to the market early to choose the best flowers.”
Flowers and ornamental plants are indispensable to every family during Tet. Traders from the countryside bring peach blossoms, kumquat trees, and many other types of Tet flowers to be sold at spring flower markets in Hanoi.
