Ho Chi Minh City welcomed nearly 2 million visitors, including 120,000 foreign tourists, and earned 286 million USD in revenue. A military parade, tours of historical sites, art performances, and a program called “50 Years – Returning to the Beloved Southern Region” impressed locals and international friends.
In Hue dubbed as the “city of heritage”, tourist numbers were up 200% and tourism revenue totaled 28 million USD. Duong Thi Cong Ly, who works for a tourism company in Hue, said: “In addition to enjoying the night scenery at historical and cultural sites along the Perfume River, visitors can now experience Hue’s music on boats. In the future, we’ll organize performances of Hue folk songs and royal court music and serve Hue’s signature cuisine on double-decker buses.”
Hanoi welcomed nearly 900,000 visitors, earning about 120.3 million USD. The number of international tourists rose 55% above the same period last year.
