(VOVWORLD) - Bài chòi, a folk music genre practiced in central Vietnam, has been officially recognized as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO. This recognition is of great importance to Vietnam, reflecting the country’s rich and diverse culture and its commitment to protecting traditional values.

(VOVWORLD) - Cua Dinh folk singing, the original, standard form of Ca Tru ceremonial performance, was once on the verge of extinction because it was no longer being practiced over the last 60 years. Music researcher Bui Trong Hien of the Institute of Vietnamese Culture and Arts has in the past three years worked with colleagues and artists to restore the standard rules of Cua Dinh folk singing.

(VOVWORLD) - Earlier this month, the Goethe institute in Hanoi hosted a concert which blended Vietnamese folk music and romantic verses by German poet Heinrich Heine.

(VOVWORLD) - Nearly 400 archaeological treasures from Vietnam are being displayed at the Reiss Engelhorn Museum in Mannheim city, southwest Germany. This is the third and final destination of the exhibition, which is part of activities to celebrate the 5th anniversary of the Vietnam-Germany strategic partnership and aims to promote Vietnamese culture among Germans.
