(VOVWORLD) - The Vietnam National Traditional Stage Theatre recently staged a cai luong (reformed opera) play called “From Viet Bac to Hanoi” to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19) and National Day (September 2). The play was adapted from a book of the same name, the third book of a five-volume series titled “Ten Thousand Miles of the Homeland” (Nuoc Non Van Dam) by Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen The Ky. “From Viet Bac to Hanoi” took a fresh approach to reviving the glorious history of Vietnam through the traditional art of cai luong.
