(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam’s National Day, September 2, is a special occasion – the Independence Festival of the Vietnamese nation. People nationwide, including the ethnic minority communities in Lai Châu province, get together to joyfully celebrate the national holiday.

(VOVWORLD) - The Vietnam National Traditional Stage Theatre recently staged a cai luong (reformed opera) play called “From Viet Bac to Hanoi” to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19) and National Day (September 2). The play was adapted from a book of the same name, the third book of a five-volume series titled “Ten Thousand Miles of the Homeland” (Nuoc Non Van Dam) by Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen The Ky. “From Viet Bac to Hanoi” took a fresh approach to reviving the glorious history of Vietnam through the traditional art of cai luong.

(VOVWORLD) - The musical “Cafe Banh Mi” (Coffee and Baguette)” is a special artistic work premiering this autumn to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19) and National Day (September 2). The musical, written by a South Korean playwright, recreates the fervor of that glorious historical period, honors President Ho Chi Minh, and symbolizes cultural cooperation between Vietnam and South Korea.

(VOVWORLD) - The goal of building “an advanced Vietnamese culture imbued with national identity” has been affirmed through multiple National Congresses of the Communist Party of Vietnam. In the draft documents for the 14th National Party Congress, this vision is once again emphasized as a core objective for developing national culture in the new era. Culture is approached as an internal resource, a driving force, and a regulatory system for national development, closely linked to social, economic, educational, and human progress.

(VOVWORLD) - In Tuong (Vietnamese classical opera), Ha Hoi refers to the closing segment of one act, paving the way for the next. Inspired by this concept, a group of young Tuong enthusiasts have named their project "Ha Hoi", aiming to connect the traditional art with a more contemporary audience.

(VOVWORLD) - Ba Ria-Vung Tau (now part of Ho Chi Minh City) is famous, not only for its beaches and beautiful scenic spots, but as a land rich in cultural traditions, with many historical, religious, and spiritual sites. This has made spiritual tourism blending culture and belief increasingly popular here.

(VOVWORLD) - “GOm Show – Sounds from Ceramics” is a creative music and art project that draws its inspiration from ceramics. The show premiered in late June in Hanoi. Telling stories of the earth and humanity using a wordless language, the GOm Show connects with a cultural heritage deeply rooted in the Vietnamese consciousness.

(VOVWORLD) - A 3D mapping film entitled "Historical Books in Stone" is being screened during night tours of the Temple of Literature in Hanoi. The show is expected to attract more visitors to experience the cultural and historical treasures of this relic site in a new way.

(VOVWORLD) - The Cham, one of Vietnam’s 54 ethnic groups, reside mainly in the south central and southern regions, including Ninh Thuan (now part of Khanh Hoa province). The Cham people have a long-standing and distinctive cultural tradition of music, dance, literature, festivals, and architecture.

(VOVWORLD) - Xam singing, a distinctive form of Vietnamese folk music originating in the Red River Delta, is traditionally performed in public spaces. Today, it has found a new and innovative stage: the double-decker bus. To bring this art form closer to the public, especially younger people, a tour called “Xam on the bus” has been launched, which lets passengers explore Hanoi by night while listening to traditional music.
