As part of this operation, the Chinese Navy sent two frigates, No. 628 and 630, to join the mission. Key activities included meetings between naval patrol commanders, sports exchanges between Vietnamese and Chinese officers and sailors, the 38th joint patrol in the Gulf of Tonkin, and joint search and rescue drills .

This cooperation highlights continued efforts by both navies to strengthen mutual understanding, enhance maritime coordination, and ensure peace and security in the region.
