The 2022 FIFA World Cup opens on November 20 at the Al Bayt Stadium. The global event will then last through to December 18.
The ceramic workshop of artisan Vuong Hong Nhat in Bat Trang commune, Gia Lam district, is full of models of the trophy of the 2022 World Cup.
Nhat says that each trophy is made of plaster and weighs between 0.7 and 1.2 kg.
His workshop plans to produce around 5,000 cups this year, roughly 1.5 times higher compared to the previous World Cup four years ago.
There are many steps in the process to make the trophies. The artisan spends around three to five days to complete a gold World Cup trophy.

Nhat says he has special passion for football.
Nhat’s workshop operates at full capacity in order to meet customers’ demands.
He sells 30 cups per day on average, with the majority of them being sold via social media.
