(VOVworld) - Voice of Vietnam Radio, Friendship Associations of Vietnam and Russia and the Public Security Publishing House released a book by Aleksandr Putin entitled “Family clan of President V.V. Putin" on December 18, 2016.

The book, translated by 3 Vietnamese translators – Mai Quang Huy, Nguyen Huy Hoang, and Tran Dinh Hau – who have been VOV collaborators for years, features the farmer family past of the Putin family clan as well as Russia’s history over the past 4 centuries.



The book is considered an encyclopedia of Russia in 4 centuries covering culture, history, and ethnology.

Director of Voice of Vietnam's Overseas Service, Nguyen Tien Long, spoke at the launching ceremony: “This is the only book about the President's family clan by one of the family members, Aleksandr Putin, featuring the development of a clan with connections to different stages of Russia’s history and customs. The book is a valuable moral and cultural gift to deepen traditional friendship relations between Vietnam and Russia.”

Translator Nguyen Huy Hoang said the book has met the demand of people who want to learn about Russia’s history, culture, and tradition.

Writer Aleksandr Putin said that Vietnamese have the tradition of respecting their ancestors. Memories of the ancestors are sacred. He hopes that Vietnamese readers will find the book interesting.
