Vietnam has 950,000 enterprises and more than 5 million business households, which contribute roughly 50% of its GDP and employ 80% of the labor force. The community of entrepreneurs continues to expand in number and capability and in the belief that “wealth is not just for oneself but is also a way to serve the nation.”
Mr. Le Viet Hai, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Hoa Binh Construction Group, said Vietnam’s goal of becoming a high-income developed nation by 2045 is entirely achievable, provided that businesses dare to think big, act boldly, and create sustainable value for the country.
With a similar perspective, Mr. Do Vinh Quang, Vice Chairman of T&T Group and Chairman of Vietravel Airlines, said the vision and ambition of Vietnamese entrepreneurs reflects the nation’s identity, intellect, and aspirations. He said Vietnamese businesses are entering the global market, not just as subcontractors and supporting units, but as leaders in higher-value segments of the global supply chain.
Through every stage of national development, entrepreneurs and businesses have been the vanguard of Vietnam’s economy, creating material wealth and inspiring self-reliance, ambition, and a sense of national service. In a new era filled with opportunities and challenges, Vietnamese entrepreneurs demonstrate resilience, intellect, and patriotism; affirm Vietnam’s position in the global economy; and propel the country toward a strong, prosperous, happy future.
