(VOVworld) – National Assembly Vice Chairwoman Tong Thi Phong visited the Voice of Vietnam (VOV) on Saturday.

General Director Nguyen Dang Tien said that VOV strives to become a multimedia complex to better disseminate party guidelines and state policies. He said that VOV will prioritize broadcasting the National Assembly TV channel as entrusted by the legislature.

Mrs. Phong said that VOV needs to further its role as a bridge linking the Party, Government, the National Assembly, and the people. She said she hoped that the National Assembly TV channel will be operational this year: “The National Assembly TV channel will help to disseminate party and state policies in all aspects of life. We’ll inform the public of the nation’s important issues in a transparent manner. National Assembly sessions will be broadcast live. This TV channel is of great political importance.”

National Assembly Vice Chairwoman Phong also visited the ethnic language channel and attended a discussion on green growth.
