(VOVworld) – The memorial service for Fidel Castro is organized at Antonio Maceo revolutionary square in Santiago de Cuba on December 3 (Cuban time).


Thousands of Cubans attended the memorial service to bid final farewell for Fidel Castro.

Cubans have expressed their esteem to Fidel Castro and pledged to follow his revolutionary path.

Cuban President Raul Castro addressed the commemoration of leader Fidel Castro.
The commemoration was held when the motorcade carrying Fidel Castro’s ashes arrived in Santiago de Cuba after 4 days travelling along the country.

People of all social strata and localities attended the commemoration.
On December 4, his ashes were buried at the Santa Ifigenia cemetery in the eastern Cuban city of Santiago de Cuba

Santa Ifigenia cemetery is also the rest place of Cuban national hero Jose Marti and many other Cuban historical figures.
