(VOVworld) – The Voice of Vietnam Radio (VOV) Deputy Director General Vu Hai received a visiting delegation from Laos’ National Radio led by Deputy Director General Thongphim Dimanivong at the National Broadcasting Center in Hanoi on Monday.

Thongphim said the Vietnamese government has assisted Laos’ broadcasting sector, including building relay stations. He added when construction of the 4 relay stations is complete, there will be a nation-wide coverage of radio and TV. Deputy Director General Thongphim suggested that the 2 national radio stations work more closely in the future, particularly VOV will help Laos’ National Radio with the training of personnel, including engineers and technicians.

Both radio stations have agreed to forge closer ties by exchanging high ranking delegations and radio programs as well as personnel training for Laos’ national radio in 2013.
